POSITION: SENIOR MATERIALS & CORROSION ENGINEER

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum overall experience of 10 + years in Oil and Gas industry (upstream/downstream) including experience with clients like Saudi ARAMCO
• 
  
• Possesses minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably with majors in Material/Metallurgical discipline.
• 
  

Affiliation with NACE would be an added advantage

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Responsible for the quality, budget and project schedule for material selection tasks mainly on multiple projects.
• 
  
• Reviews Client’s technical documentation and requirements.
• 
  
• Reviews and checks third party material selection reports.
• 
  
• Possesses in-depth understanding and experience with NACE, ASME, ASTM, API, BS, DNV, ISO, etc. International codes and standards.
• 
  
• Ensures that material selection and corrosion management strategies for oil and gas facilities will provide technical integrity during the projected life cycle.
• 
  

KEY QUALITIES:

• Up to date knowledge and experience with the oil and gas industry with 10 years of relevant experience or longer in the selection of material (metal and non-metals) for on shore piping and pipelines. Experience in Offshore piping/pipeline would be and added advantage.
• 
  
• Prepare Piping/Pipeline Material Specification (PMS) using international and Saudi ARAMCO standards and specifications and considering strength of material, temperature and service requirements.
• 
  
• Support the development, review & updating standards and specifications as required internally or by client.
• 
  
• Mastery in depth competencies in material selection (metallic & non-metallic materials), metallurgy and welding, piping/pipeline inspection and maintenance and coating systems.
• 
  
• Demonstrated contribution in providing special material solution for Sour service, steam, offshore and/or other specialized services.
• 
  
• Act as liaison with the other departments; specifically with layout, Piping Design, Control Systems, Process Engineering and Construction
• 
  
• Site visits and data collection from Client’s offices / plants
• 
  
• Man-hour estimation for engineering inquiries.
• 
  
• Knowledge about Saudi ARAMCO engineering standards and specifications will be an added advantage.
• 
  
• Has solid experience in the oil/gas, hydrocarbon and/or refinery 
• 
  
• Must have thorough knowledge of international codes and standard related to metallurgy and corrosion (ASTM, NACE, ASME.
•
