Tourism Manager Job Description
The role of a Tourism Manager is a combination of marketing, public relations and management. It also involves lots of planning and preparation. We’re an energetic company and are looking for a passionate individual to join our organization and be important character in our business success story.
Typical responsibilities of the job include:
• Managing Tourism Programs Section, which include:
- Ability to deal with GDS and contract them with the best formula to achieve our interests and ability to get their agency in Saudi Arabia.
- Choosing DMC as abroad agents and making official contract between the two parties.
- Choosing online booking platforms wholesalers that suite our needs and expectations.
- Preparing and implementing tourism services such as:
\[ Seasonal and non-seasonal tourism programs.
\[ Special tourism programs such as (honeymoon, hiking, cruise, camping)
\[ Specificity tourism (educational, therapeutic, sports)
- Preparing and implementing group trips (during the seasons)
• Managing the inbound department.
• Managing the Umrah department.
• Managing the operation department.
• Prepare and manage the marketing plan including social media, online platform, promotions and advertisings.
• Managing the sales department and prepare business plan to meet the target within certain deadline.
• Managing the customer center.
• Ability to train the staff and develop their skills.
• Ability to attend the international tourism exhibitions.
• Undertaking day-to-day center management and administration.
• Have a clear vision how to improve the business.
Qualifications and training required
• Graduates with degrees in languages, travel, tourism, leisure, business studies, marketing, management or journalism are normally at an advantage.
• Relevant work experience in tourism field is essential with minimum 5 years work experience.
• Potential employee who has worked in Saudi Arabia is highly preferred.
What to expect:
Tourism manager may need to work after working hours especially when attending meetings, events and exhibition
