• Choose the suppliers that the company will deal with and maintain the legal interaction with them.
• Manage purchasing staff and oversee daily operations
• Enforce all company rules and policies
• Manage request for quotations (RFQ) process & communicate with external vendors.
• Analyze vendor bids and select after coordinating with concerned stakeholders & committees.
• Coordinate and mange execution of scheduling activities & PO creation for Capital investment & spot orders using ERP systems.
• Manage any SLA’s (Service Level Agreements) that may be in place and managing any Master Agreements between the suppliers and the company.
• Maintain strong working relationships with our vendors
• Verify specifications and price; obtain recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtain approval from requisitioning department.
• Provide purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
• Manage Reviewing of purchasing agreements with vendors and maintain open lines of communications with those vendors
• Stay up to date with industry trends and establish long-term purchasing arrangements with vendors when it is beneficial to the company
• Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
• Handle allocation tracking and updates on quarterly basis
• Provide cost analysis and reports
• Execute ad hoc exercises assigned from corporate supply chain manger
