Service Sales Engineer is to achieve/exceed targets through identifying new potential projects/clients in the assigned region / industry, proper implementation of projects and utilization of services solutions and offering proper value propositions to enhance customer relationship management.
• Follow all relevant service department’s policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account leading practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement
• Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
• Liaise with other members of the sales team and other technical experts.
• Secure from customer technical staff commitments needed to ensure a deal’s “technical close.”
• Opportunistically pursue additional business development opportunities within customer firms. Collaborate with sales to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered.
• Responsible for demonstrating service solutions and services, including value propositions and high level technical specifications.
• Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers to understand requirements.
• Monitors customer support for technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process, and alerts the sales and technical teams to potential risks of deal closure.
• Continually gauge customer satisfaction among key customer project stakeholders.
• Develop success metrics, including ROI, adoption, and business-process impacts, and presents these to customer project stakeholders in a compelling fashion.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
• Meet project implementation targets for timeliness and customer success metrics.
