Responsible for maintaining IT service design by execution the following:
Strategy Management for IT Services
- Collecting and assessing the business and technical requirements of IT service users
- Researching and assessing technology trends, potential vendors, their capabilities and offerings to address collected requirements
- Developing an IT service strategy
- Ensuring IT service strategy implementation by extending technical through leadership to designers and developers
Service Portfolio Management
- Developing and maintaining the IT service portfolio to ensure the provision of the right mix of services that enable required business outcomes at an appropriate investment level
Architecture Management
- Developing and maintaining enterprise architecture diagrams, artifacts and repositories (e.g. infrastructure architecture, security architecture) in line with IT service strategy
Design Coordination
- Establishing, maintaining and using architectural guidelines, principles and governance models to provide direction to IT services design
- Coordinating all IT service design activities, processes and resources to ensure consistent and effective design of new or changed IT services
Continual Service Improvement
- Analyzing IMCTC IT environment to detect deficiencies and recommend improvements
- Overseeing IT infrastructure and business applications deployment and ongoing refinement activities
- Measuring and report on the level of improvement of IT services
Service Catalogue Management
- Ensuring that an IT service catalogue is produced and maintained, containing accurate information (e.g. service details, status, interdependencies) on all operational and planned services
Service Asset & Configuration Management
- Maintaining information about configuration items (CIs) required to deliver IT services, and their relationships
Technical Management
- Providing technical expertise and support for the management of the IT infrastructure and applications
Demand Management
- Collecting, anticipating and influencing customer demand for IT services
Business Relationship Management
- Maintaining a positive relationship with end users
- Ensuring that services are developed to address end user needs
Supplier Management
- Ensuring that all contracts with suppliers support the needs of the business
- Making sure that suppliers meet their contractual commitments
Risk Management
- Identifying, assessing and controlling risks (e.g. analysis of the value of assets to the business, identification of threats to assets, evaluation of assets’ vulnerability to threats)
Financial Management
- Providing accurate and cost-effective stewardship of IT assets and resources used in providing IT Services to plan, control and recover costs incurred in providing the IT Services negotiated and agreed to in service-level agreements (SLAs)
Service Level Management
- Negotiating Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with end users to design services in accordance with the agreed service level targets
- Ensuring that all Operational Level Agreements and Underpinning Contracts are appropriate
- Monitoring and reporting on service levels
Stakeholder Management, Governance and Performance Management Activities
- Managing relationships with third-party suppliers, other IT functional groups, and IT service users
- Ensuring compliance with the IT Group governance framework
- Reporting on the performance of IT service design group against its targets
Performing other related duties or assignments as directed by seniors
