• Assist the COO in developing the Finance department’s annual plans/KPI’s and ensure all employees are working towards achieving the department’s goals and objectives within the assigned budget by setting the required targets and responsibilities for the department staff.
• Review the operating results of the Finance department and compare them to established objectives and goals, and follow-up to ensure appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results.
• Develop on monthly basis the business financial forecast based on approved S&OP forecast. Provide on a monthly basis meaningful, actionable insights, commentaries, advice, and recommendations on historic and the future financial performance to the business.
• Deliver timely financial analytics to effectively measure business performance against strategic priorities.
• Identify key risks and opportunities for improvement of financial performance.
• Establish, lead and direct annual budgeting process to review and monitor business performance against it and to ensure delivery of annual financial targets.
• Support an efficient and effective long-term planning, forecasting and analysis processes that produces accurate, achievable plans and forecasts that align with business’s strategic objectives.
• Responsible for developing strategic financial modeling and analysis, including sensitivity analysis, to achieve profitable and sustainable growth, mitigate financial risks and increase economic value.
• Ensure that capital spending is fit for purpose by checking that financial information and related assumptions are accurate, and that the CAPEX is feasible in the context of the overall business plan and forecast. Provide recommendation on CAPEX approval to COO.
• Deliver executive financial reviews to the executive management and the Board highlighting business performance & outlook, outlining significant milestones and events, key metrics, significant issues and specific actions required. •Ensure all reports are aligned with the COO before sharing it with the Executive Committee or board members.
• Identify key financial and non-financial metrics (dashboard) at business level, develop the systems, information management processes to capture and monitor these business KPI’s.
• Manage the team ensuring sufficient time spent in coaching the team to develop the talent within the organization.
• Oversee the development of team-work plans ensuring clarity on annual job objectives & deliverables.
• Conduct annual performance review in line with the company appraisal process, including finalizing performance rating & suggesting pay increments & bonus levels where applicable.
• Monitor the adherence of department employees to the company’s guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Develop quarterly reports for the COO highlighting performance updates on the agreed upon KPI’s.
• Ensure best in class talent available to ensure that the right personnel in place to drive the company agenda. In cases where there is a mismatch of skills vs job required disciplinary action to be taken to correct the situation.
