On behalf of a leading 240 bed Private Specialist Hospitals in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia we have an opening for a Consultant of Urology.
Reporting to the Chief of the Department
Responsible for Residents and Specialists
Provides patients with urological care, including diagnosis, pre-operative care, all major and minor operative procedures in the field of urology and post-operative treatment. Provides preventive care of patients according to approved procedure as part of an integrated program of curative and preventive services.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provides comprehensive and diligent urological care to all assigned patients, including pre- and post-operative care and such urological procedures as are within incumbent’s competence.
Provides consultation services to physicians and other surgeons and specialists, on in/out-patient cases assigned to incumbent.
Assumes after-hours responsibility for the care of assigned to incumbent.
Refers to specialists or consults with them on those cases which are beyond his skill or experience.
Adheres to the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Medical Department and assures that work performed is in keeping with the established standards of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals.
Consults with the Anaesthetist on the choice of anaesthesia to be used.
Maintains complete and accurate records of all assigned cases. Consults with the Chief Surgeon when considering a patient for outside referral.
Participates in and contributes to in-service activities such as lectures, conferences and rounds.
Performs other miscellaneous related duties as requested by the Chief of Department.
Adapts to team work in the Surgical Services Division.
Provides educational experience for Surgical Ward physicians and Professional Development Physicians.
