Job Purpose:
Review and ensure compliance to Financial Accounting standards by AAOIFI and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in all Treasury financial transactions (such commodities, sukuk investments, swaps, forex, sukuk liabilities, reverse murabaha, currency alignments, Treasury payments) of the bank and trust funds. Prepare financial statements for Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV) in compliance with IFRS, perform financial analysis as required by fund managers / rating agencies, manage all accounting transactions related to low complexity funds.
Key Accountabilities (not exhaustive list):
Account Management
* Review and clear all treasury and investments related financial transactions for posting in SAP GL for all company codes
* Undertake analysis and recommend corrective measures to improve accuracy and completeness of financial statements
* Monitor the recording of financial transactions related to IDB treasury and investments in Misys
* Carry out periodic analysis of sukuk investments and equity investments.
* Generate income accrual from Misys for all treasury investments and posting to SAP GL
* Review inter fund reconciliations, resolve related issues, and follow up settlements
* Review and report on the realized and unrealized capital gain/loss from Treasury investments
* Monitor technical clearing accounts related to treasury investments and Project Assets
Financial Analysis
* Provide financial analysis and other information on Treasury and Investment portfolio performance
Financial Statements
* Prepare statutory financial statement for the assigned funds and SPVs incorporated outside HQ, in accordance with applicable IFRS/AAOIFI standards
* Participate in presentation of financial information with the local and international external auditors and IDB SPV managers to finalize and file audited financial statements with list stock exchange
Policies & Procedures
* Participate in formulation and implementation of policies and procedures for the division
* Work under technical guidance of more experienced employees to ensure compliance of all financial transactions with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Reporting & Communication
* Prepare all Treasury and Investment related information and reports as per GRMD requirements for the annual rating of the Bank
* Prepare ad-hoc reports as and when required by management
* Prepare monthly financial reports on treasury investment performance
