A reputable manufacturing company is now recruiting for a Projects Manager. You will be reporting directly to the Director of Projects. You will be based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Purpose
To manage the execution of specific real estate development projects for company’s Real Estate from construction until completion phase and ensure proper implementation of the established policies and procedures
Responsibilities
• Manage operations of individual projects:
• Ensure timely implementation of short- and long-term project goals
• Manage relationships with individual contractors and ensure design, quality, and timely implementation
• Oversee engineering activities and ensure that company requirements and specifications are met
• Request support from Engineering Department as needed for technical matters
• Coordinate planning, testing, and operating phases to complete projects
• Arrange inspection, quantity surveying, and cost and quality control
• Liaise with Property Management Department to ensure properties are prepared in advance for sales and lease
• Review project operations, ensure coordination of efforts, manage budgetary control and project progress, and provide timely submission of progress reports, in coordination with Director of Projects
• Implement project management and reporting standards, requirements, policies and procedures
• Manage a team consisting of a Site Supervisor, and as needed AutoCad Draftsman and Quantity Surveyor, to supervise the execution of projects
• Be aware of all other company projects and have the ability to cover for other Projects Managers on projects as needed
Manage contracts and finances for projects:
• Liaise with Finance and Budgets Manager to update budgets and models and ensure project financing
• Liaise with Finance for processing of payments to contractors/suppliers and management of claims/disputes as per the policies and procedures
• Liaise with Legal and Contracts Manager on contractor issues as necessary
Contribute to the development of design concepts:
• Provide feedback on implementation hurdles to the Kitchen, a cross-functional team from Property Development, Engineering, Projects, and Property Management that develops ‘recipes’—detailed, scalable, and replicable products that are constantly refined to meet customer needs and create added value, and drive the refinement of its products
Undertake general responsibilities:
• Provide support to the Director of Projects to carry out a number of activities and prepare decisions as needed
• Manage and develop staff under his management
• Contribute to developing an effective culture at the company’s upholding company values and staff morale
Interfaces
It is expected that Managers work collaboratively within and across Departments to effectively fulfill their responsibilities; this includes for the
Projects Manager:
• Strong collaboration with Engineering Department as needed for technical matters
• Collaboration with Property Management Department to prepare properties for sale or lease
• Collaboration with Finance for processing of payments
• Collaboration with Legal and Contracts Manager on contractor issues as necessary
• Collaboration with Finance and Budgets Manager on budgets, models, and project financing
