Job Purpose::
To oversee governance, planning, implementation, management and operations of IT services and solution in line with the IT strategy - as well as activities and initiatives related to information management and disruptive technology
Roles and Responsibilities:
General Responsibilities:
* Manages the definition of the IT strategy and oversees the alignment with IDB's business strategy, by setting the joint direction, defining common understanding of the role and the purpose of IT, defining objectives/metrics/KPIs for services geared to helping IDB complexes achieve their business goals, as well as developing IT initiatives and overall IT roadmap to materialize them
* Oversees the provision of IT standards, policies, processes, and enterprise architecture for the entire IDB to ensure IT solutions/services contribute to the business objectives whilst enhancing the control environment and complement IDB's technology landscape
* Manages the definition of standards, policies, processes, and procedures related to the information security and IT risk management for the entire IDB organization
* Ensures awareness and communication of all matters related to the information technology as well as addresses enablement and training needs resulting from IT initiatives
* Acts as a strategic partner to the business by facilitating the business demand collection process, challenging and prioritizing the business requests, translating them into best fitting and most cost efficient options for implementation
* Manages the collaboration with IDB complexes to align and detail the business requirements, to translate them into technical specifications, to create internally or to coordinate with external providers a solution architecture for a specific solution or service, and to define/to agree the timeline, scope and milestones to implement them
* Ensures workforce availability or manages the acquisition of external vendors to develop IT solutions/services based on technical specifications and ensures fulfilment of IDB's quality standards for solution/service delivery
* Oversees the technical implementation by managing the monitoring of milestones, reporting the progress, identifying and escalating issues and risks
* Manages the building and maintenance of trustful relationship with the vendors leveraging on the partnership model. Resolves high profile escalations with the vendors, if required
* Manages the definition service levels, sets up service level agreements (SLAs), oversee fulfilment of the SLA terms by the vendors when providing support, maintenance, and operations of technology solution/services across their entire lifecycle
Leadership Responsibilities:
* Leads and manages the Information Management and Disruptive Technology department, gaining strong acceptance on the level of the President/Vice Presidents and building personal credibility based on business acumen and insight, IT expertise and consulting skills
* Provides motivational and inspirational leadership to direct reports and communicates to direct reports clear performance expectations

* Manages the performance and resources of department through delegation of responsibility, setting stretch objectives and providing regular feedback on results at a department level, promptly addressing areas of underperformance
* Monitors and assesses the skills and capabilities of the department, and determines the actions needed to increase the department's impact or to resolve capability gaps
* Coaches, mentors and develops the direct reports and the top talent/high potentials in the department
* Acts as a role-model to communicate to the department's staff IDB's values and leadership competencies; provides direction
