• Manage site rigging, lifting and scaffolding activities of the subordinates and contractors routine jobs in major shutdowns, annual overhaul and project related maintenance works associated with equipment and pipelines, structural beams, vessels/ tanks, to ensure that the construction or maintenance workis completed in safe and efficient manner with in Fields.
• To review/ approve all lifting plan submitted by the contractors. Prepare Permit to Work for all lifting/ scaffolding operations.
• To provide technical knowledge and expertise and supervision for erecting, dismantling and scaffolding construction and housekeeping services for onshore facilities. Supervise the installation and testing of scaffoldings. Implement risk assessments of service safety analysis required by HSE procedures.
• Work usually within broad guidance limits directly from the Head of Field Logistics.
• Completed assignments are subject to review by the Division Head.
• Determine future Scaffolding, lifting equipment requirements in Fields, review submissions by user departments and forward justification to the Asst Manager, Field Logistics &Facilities Services, for his approval.
• Manage all financial matters of the section, exercise financial authority at the level established by the management. Monitor section expenditure vs. budget allocations; and report on the budget variances; act as per directives received from the Head of Logistics on means to minimize variances.
