Job Location: Yemen 

Company: YCIC, one of HSA Group of companies specialized in manufacturing Cakes, Biscuits and Wafer based in Taiz.  

Job Purpose:

Develop plans for managing research and conducting studies on product/package development or modifications.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Conducts studies and researches on product development or modification, both in terms of quality improvement or cost reduction and the development of new products and new packaging solutions
• 
  
• Sets the plans for the development stages and timelines for implementation in coordination with the concerned departments, and prepare periodic reports
• 
  
• Plans, directs and prepares experiments for the production of alternatives to raw materials, packaging materials and new designs.
• 
  
• Provides all information with state-of-the-art technology in the development of recipes, packaging for product development
• 
  
• Update and review the current specifications of raw materials and components of new products, according to legal and health requirements
• 
  
• Studies food manufacturing laws in domestic and foreign markets and ensures that product components comply with laws and regulations
• 
  
• Participate with the marketing team in researching consumers' needs to come up with a competitive products/solutions
• 
  
• Coordinates with concerned departments to determine market needs of new and developed products
• 
  
• Participates with the HR Manager in developing and implementing training programs for own team to raise their skills and abilities to improve performance
• 
  
• Take the necessary corrective and preventive actions when any deviation occurs in the specification of raw materials, packaging, quality methods and ensure actions are implemented
• 
  
• Develop and follow up on work plans for the environment and safety system and facilities and propose ways to avoid risks
• 
  
• Following the implementation of the control procedures, taking corrective action and follow-up, prepare and reviews management reports regarding the performance of the HSE program
• 
  
• Creates records and structured files for development work
•
