Take overall responsibility for the accuracy of the GL that is assigned to you
At each month-end, confirm that the following reconciliations have been performed by the relevant departments for the GL you are responsible for:
Accounts receivables sub-ledger to GL
Accounts payables sub-ledger to GL
Inventory sub-ledger to GL
Bank statement to GL
Employee accounts to GL (HR)
Prepare GL entries during the month and for the month-end closing (including inventory provision and receivables provision)
At each month end, ensure that your assigned GLs are closed on a timely basis and results are provided to the reporting team in the required format
Ensure that consistent accounting policies are followed across the group
At each month-end, for the GL you are responsible for, populate the monthly reporting schedules and provide data for the management reporting dashboard as required
Liaise with the commercial and operations teams to ensure finance supports the business reporting needs as required
Assist with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payables and Inventory departments, as required
Assist in the preparation of the required information for the year end external audit
Assist in the budgeting process for the following year
Assist in other ad-hoc finance projects as required
