Our client a global Fastfood retailer with their Head office in Riyadh is seeking an Applications Manager. This position reports to the Director of Information Technology.
• Prepare a Strategic Plan and budget for the companies ERP/Systems applications in alignment with the overall IT strategic Plan to support the organization’s overall vision.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend investments in applications that will improve the quality of the organization’s operations and meet business needs
• Coordinate with teams and resources to align company ERP and system applications with the market practices as well as business needs.
• Keep abreast of new technologies to ensure best practice is incorporated into companies IT practice
• Develop effective policies and procedures to ensure the effective usage, monitoring and control of ERP systems & applications.
• Highlight potential risks to management and develop recommendation to mitigate them.
• Liaise with the Vendors/consultants for various systems audits that are required to ensure that risks are mitigated and Best business practices are adapted
• Identify, Evaluate and appraise management about the risks in the systems and participate in drawing plans to mitigate the identified risks.
• Ensure implementation of the Applications Plan, through effective supervision, monitoring and control.
• Leverage existing applications to enhance functionality and optimisation.
• Lead and manage the modification, configuration, and installation of organization’s applications to ensure they comply with users’ needs
• Monitor the cost, effectiveness, and reliability of installation activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and ensure that standards are met.
• Ensure the implementation of an application maintenance program to safeguard the functioning of all applications.
• Supervise the resolution of end user application complaints and the development of specifications to resolve the issues
• Ensure technical documentation of all applications, enhancements and other developments.
• Schedule and supervise regular audits of applications in various locations.
• Provide regular, accurate and timely reports to the management on Company system application and development.
• Ensure implementation of the ERP/Applications Plan, through effective supervision, monitoring and control.
• Leverage existing applications to enhance functionality and optimisation.
• Build and leverage relationships with the ERP/Applications’ vendors to ensure effective support and competitive negotiations.
• Supervise the modification and customisation of the ERP and other software systems, test the enhancements
• Audit and evaluate the functioning of the ERP and prepare recommendations about significant changes that need to be made to resources, procedures, applications, or technology
• Ensure timely and effective resolution of user issues.
• Provide regular, accurate and timely reports to the management on company system application and development.
• Develop a second line of command to ensure continuity of operation.
• Generate commitment, motivation and enthusiasm for the department and company as a whole.
• Provide technical leadership and support to team members.
• Provide on-the-job training, regular feedback and coaching to develop direct reports
• Provide opportunities for direct reports to suggest, participate in, and contribute to improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing initiatives
• Plan, manage and review individual performance and provide regular feedback, development, training opportunities, and coaching, taking prompt action where necessary
• Team Management.
