• Responsible for the design, implementation, communication and coordination of all environmental, health, and safety programs for the Division
• 
  
• Develop and provide technical and administrative direction under the overall framework of Group Safety, on all HSE decisions, which bear critical importance to overall Division objectives, operations, and profitability
• 
  
• Overall responsible for ensuring the safety design, process and procedures are available across the company in order to provide accident free working
• 
  
• Responsible to create high level of awareness, safety working culture of Safety across the division by adopting appropriate progressive interventions in order to win over the confidence of the Company Management and the client and consultant
• 
  
• Provide leadership to the safety team by taking appropriate decisions, action enforcing the discipline across the organization in order to improve the effectiveness of monitoring safety aspects at the site / location
• 
  
• Lead, guide, coach the safety team for effective utilization of safety resources across the company in order to optimize and make safety function effective
• 
  
• Ensure effective coordination with the Company Management, and provide leadership to the Divisional Managers and obtain Technical and administrative support for the safety initiative at the site / location in order to provide width for the safety team to work effectively on the field
• 
  
• Constantly review, critically evaluate the safety function and incorporate latest and appropriate system in order to enable the company to be at par with Internationally accredited standards
• 
  
• Coordinate with Group safety, support on standardizing and synchronizing the safety initiatives at the Group level in order to ensure the safety initiatives are within the overall framework of the group
• 
  
• Direct the resources and activities of the Division to support the HSE programs by providing advice and guidance to the Company Senior Management
• 
  
• Continually maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge and preparedness across the Division to create a culture that prioritizes effective HSE and balances overall associated costs
• 
  
• Review internal HSE policies and practices to ensure they are current and appropriate; conduct hazard and risk assessments and change existing, or develop new recommendations from these assessments
• 
  
• Serve as the Division expert within the field of HSE when called upon to address regulatory agency compliance issues, third party safety & liability consultants and subcontractor representatives
• 
  
• Responsible for the staffing and directing the Divisions HSE Department, including the management of all Field Safety Managers and staff
• 
  
• Responsible for the development of an annual budget recommendations and implementation
• 
  
• Provide regular written reports, on all project safety aspects and updates to the Senior Management Team
• 
  
• Assist project team in investigation of all project incidents (GL/WC/Recordable Incidents, Near Miss and First Aid) and ensure proper records are completed and submitted. Assist in implementation of corrective actions as it relates to the incident and ensure “lessons learned” are communicated throughout the Division and are incorporated into the program
• 
  
• Devise, supervise, and coordinate training programs which will increase proficiency in safe practices and promote HSE consciousness
• 
  
• Actively participate in the scheduling of safety meetings across locations to review HSE performance and policies
• 
  
• Address specific reporting and record keeping requirements of OSHA, EPA, etc., as well as other pertinent safety/regulatory compliance matters and to ensure project sites are in compliance
• 
  
• Oversight of Division’s HSE incentive programs and periodically reviews them to ensure they are accomplishing the desired results. Make necessary changes to the program to maximize effect
• 
  
• Stay abreast of current and emerging technical and professional aspects of this position
• 
  
• Assist with and participate in relevant client meetings if required
• 
  
• Participate/attend industry related conferences with appropriate Management approval
• 
  
• Manages subordinates and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of employees
•
