The work will be in a western residential Compound
SUMMARY:
The Sports & Recreation Supervisor is a senior member of the compound’s management group and as such will be a constant presence on-site and highly visible to all residents, guests and visitors to the compound.
Reporting directly to the Compound Manager, the Sports & Recreation Supervisor will be responsible to organize and coordinate instructional, training or health & fitness related programs for adult and children compound residents, while safely and efficiently managing all recreational facilities available on the compound.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The Sports & Recreation Supervisor will oversee the recreational facilities and leisure activities that are available to compound residents of all backgrounds, ability levels and age groups with the objectives of not only promoting physical activity, but also to address needs that may be expressed or not for custom-made programs such as swimming instructions or aerobics in compliance with resident schedules.
He/She will coordinate a variety of activities for adults, youths and on special request from a group of residents for particular programs such as yoga or aerobics, the design of fitness programs, swimming instructions, gymnastics, tennis or karate lessons or football and basketball competitions for children residents of the compound.
He/She needs not be an expert in all sports and recreational disciplines but he/she should be able to be sufficiently proficient in a variety of activities.
He/She will manage a staff of attendants who will be responsible for the care, cleaning and maintenance of recreational facilities and equipment including but not limited to the daily sampling and logging of water quality for all swimming pools, Jacuzzi/whirlpools.
He/She will be called upon to evaluate the performance of his staff members, recommend disciplinary measures for serious infractions and provide constant training to employees.
He/She will be responsive to requests from residents, young and old, for organizing and coordinating games and activities that may be of interest to some or most community members.
