Follow up the inpatients. Documenting the patient history in the patient's medical records, requesting the necessary tests, and reporting to his/her Senior Registrar/Registrar and Consultant about the cases.
· Follow up and interpret all results of laboratory and radiological investigations performed upon the patient and discuss with his immediate senior on duty/ call.
· Participate during ward round with the consultant and the Senior Registrar/Registrar.
· Perform medical reports, discharge summaries, and death reports for patient.
· Start the treatment and CPR in patients with shock or arrest in the Internal Medicine floor until the arrival of the specialist or treating consultant.
· Performing daily round for the inpatients, registering his medical notes in the patient's medical record about the cases and stating the status of the patient's condition.
· Responsible for writing in the patient's file a summary of the patients main problems,
diagnoses and medical plan, as well as any other instructions before the end of his shift
duty.
· Assist the Senior Registrar/Registrar while performing any procedures.
· Escort patient whenever transferred to any diagnostic or therapeutic procedure outside the hospital or intra hospital.
· Participate in the teaching programs and research works for the department.
· Follows all related Hospital policies and procedures.
· Participate in patient safety and family education program.
· Share actively in patient & family education in collaboration with all related other healthcare givers.
· Comply with the standards laid down by the approved CBAHI & JCI accreditation & standards and perform the duties necessary to support and achieve accreditation.
· Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities.
· Through the chain of command and/or occurrence variance report, identifies any occurrence not consistent with the operation of the hospital or standard of service for patients, employees or visitors and situations that put patients, staff or visitors at risk for injury or other harm.
