 Manage the plant’s quality control function by developing, implementing and maintaining an effective HACCP Program and documents safety programs to comply with government, corporate and industry requirements.
 Works actively with Production supervisors and plant/Factory managers to ensure continued improvement of quality product compliance and proactively decrease production issues.
 Audits Raw Materials, Production, packing, and ingredient suppliers to ensure compliance with Company standards and to push continuous improvement throughout the supply chain.
 Must ensure and Audit for production line flow as per Company Standard, Packing, and final Product quality.
 Timely and randomly sampling record and standardization verification from the outlet, to maintain company standard.
 Ensure process checks throughout the production, packaging, sanitation and warehousing functions of the company, including pre-operational checks, sanitation verification, label checks, gluten testing, water activity testing, net weight checks, package integrity checks, and organoleptic checks
 Calibrate test equipment
 Follow up the schedule and execute sample submittals to external laboratory vendor for batch testing
 Maintains proficiency in the laboratory’s analytical procedures, including analytical techniques, data communication, and testing protocols.
 Supports the safety and loss control function as it relates to the Quality Department to ensure all plant, company and governmental requirements are satisfied.
 Direct, delegate and assign tasks to Quality Techs.
 Motivate employees and promote a positive work environment.
 Administer progressive disciplinary actions as appropriate.
 Demonstrate a strong commitment to GMP’s and the production of outstanding quality products.
 Ensure for the provision of oversight of processes, verifying compliance with company standards and policies, and effectively communicating when there are deviations from standards or processes
o Monitor the temperature of the chiller.
o Inspect raw materials.
o Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
 Assist in training employees on food safety, company processes, and FDA Good Manufacturing Practices
 Maintain accurate and organized records of QA activities
 Maintain an organized inventory of retained products
 Monitor HACCP critical control points
 Participate in preparation for 3rd party safety audits
 Maintain ongoing company compliance with all applicable regulations and 3rd party auditor requirements
 Conduct research on Quality Assurance issues and deliver reports on research to management
 Report to Director of Operations.
 Investigates consumer complaints and determine root cause and corrective actions.
 Ensures accuracy of all data entered into internal system databases (Product Vision).
