Job Purpose
The purpose of the Trade Finance Officer’s job is to lead, direct and control the processing of the Letter of Credit (LC) and Letter of Guarantee (LG) requirements of the BUs/JVs and negotiate with suppliers and contractors. Support preparation of information memo
Accountabilities-
Completes and monitors the issuing and the follow-up of Letters of Credit and Letters of Guarantee, and ensures that appropriate authority levels for signature have been met and that the group interests and rights have been safe guarded in L/C &/or L/G.
- Requests cancellation or amendments of an LG / LC according to the BU/JV recommendation
- Provides advice to BU/JV DFOs on Trade Finance operations
- Negotiates with banks to receive the best offer related to trade finance transactions
- Secures the necessary LCs/LGs lines for a specific project
- Supports the Bank Relations Unit Head in developing and institutionalizing Rawabi Holding’s data, know-how, and capabilities in trade finance
- Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by his/her direct manager
Communications and Working Relationships- Interfaces with the Bank Relations Unit Head for all treasury-related activities
- Interfaces and coordinates with BU/JV DFOs for all trade finance related activities (i.e. issuing LCs / LGs, etc.)
- Interfaces with banks and other service providers affiliated to the banking industry trade department
- Interfaces with procurement department both at Rawabi Holding and BUs levels
