To maintain accurate and proper financial records in a daily basis that helps in preparing true and fair periodic financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
To have proper Working Capital Management which includes booking of revenue, the collection of invoice, booking of purchase to payment against the purchase, etc.
To have proper control of fixed assets and inventory by conducting periodic physical count and their reconciliations.
To conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
To control the Bank fund based and fund based limits.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
a) Primary:
Verify, review and approve all transactions pertaining to payroll, accounts receivables, accounts payable, inventory, fixed assets and general ledger modules based on prevailing Company’s approved authority matrix.
To verify and approve contract billing transactions based on prevailing Company’s approved authority matrix.
To verify petty cash transactions based on prevailing Company’s approved authority matrix.
To verify and approve monthly provisions and accruals.
To adjust monthly advances prepayments and deferred cost.
To rectify General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Fixed Assets transactions.
To rectify other integrated modules transactions.
To supervise and interact with subordinate for (General Ledger , Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payables, Fixed Assets and wherever required.
To make sure that inventory is valued at lower of cost and NRV.
To update Chart of Accounts and attach active business units.
To coordinate with procurement, production and sales team.
To verify day to day financial and non-financial reports.
To verify temporary Cash Advances.
To supervise Cash and Bank Salaries Disbursements.
To verify and approve the auto payments as per approved authority matrix.
To countersign the Balance Confirmation Certificate of Accounts Payable;
To be responsible for successfully completing and finalizing the statutory audit.
To be responsible for annual budget preparation, finalization and uploading in the system within stipulated deadlines.
b) Secondary:
a.1 Checking
To check the work of subordinates for all financial modules like Asset Control, AR, AP and General Accounting more particularly debtors and Creditors reconciliations, debtors and creditors balance confirmation, Bank Reconciliation and asset verification.
Directing: Directing staff for the recovery, follow up, reconciliations etc. periodically.
Implementation:Ensuring all the Group Financial Policies and Procedures are implemented.
