Contract Surveying
• To carry out monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasts of final costs and sales.
• Prepare and monitor project cash flow forecasts.
• Measure, submit and negotiate contract variations/change orders.
• Provide advice to project staff on commercial and contract matters including reviewing and drafting of correspondence.
• Prepare, submit and negotiate project final accounts.
• Commercial vetting of subcontractors bids and contract terms.
• Certification of subcontractor’s monthly valuations and final accounts.
• Ensure that business commercial processes are adhered to at project level.
• Assist in preparation and adherence to project purchasing, targeting and costing budgets.
Project Management
• Prepare realistic project budgets in CBS (Cost Breakdown Structure) format.
• Produce accurate monthly reports showing BCWP/ACWP.
• Identify cause and show effect of budget variances, including variances to schedule.
• Update budgets to include any additional revenues (Variations/Change Orders etc.).
• Provide PM with cost details of delaying events.
• Assist PM in developing project risk register and Analysis.
People Management
• Ability to work well within a team based environment.
• Communicate regularly with project staff and specialist subcontractors to ensure commercial controls are in place, understood and followed at all times.
• Share and transfer knowledge to team.
• Respect and embrace cultural and ethnic diversity.
• Build relationships with Client counterparts.
Administration
• Manage and produce accurate formal reports in accordance with business timetable.
• Ensure the proper recording of all issues relating to cost and time.
• Monitor all commercial information in relation to project including labor, materials and subcontractor cost forecasting.
• Supply all relevant information to the commercial manager.
• Assist commercial manager with a range of duties as required from time to time.
