To ensure that the requirements of the documented quality system are adhered to and work produced complies with drawing and specifications.
To perform first off, patrol, in-process and final inspection as required in a timely manner.
To document and report any work or process not conforming to specified requirements using the Non-Conformance reporting system.
To follow-up Non-Conformance Reports to ensure satisfactory conclusion where required.
Initiates Corrective Action Reports when conditions adverse to quality are repetitive in nature.
To liaise with department heads on matters relating to quality control throughout the Recertification process.
To ensure employees and department heads are made aware of the required inspection stages during Recertification process.
To check and verify the material is fit for purpose based on standards, drawings, and specifications.
To organize and document all NDT that is done by third party.
To ensure that all instruments and tools are calibrated, documented and recorded in a timely manner.
To ensure that traceability is maintained throughout the Recertification process.
To ensure raw material, phosphate, paint and outsourced parts and materials are inspected and received according to applicable processes and procedures as requested.
To engage in any other activities requested by the department head.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
To carry out all duties in accordance with the Quality Assurance procedures and departmental works instructions.
To contribute to general improvements in the quality of key activities within the department.
TRAINING
To actively participate in training as identified.
SAFETY
Perform duties in a safe manner to prevent injury to yourself and your co-workers. Never attempt to perform any job with which you are not familiar. Request instruction from your supervisor.

Report all safety hazards to your immediate supervisor as soon as possible.
Immediately report all work related injuries, auto accidents, property damage, or equipment damage to your immediate supervisor.
Follow company policies and procedures for the use, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials, chemicals, and waste materials.
Obey permit conditions and limits at facilities that have permits for air emissions, water discharge, and waste disposal to the extent practicable.
Stop work immediately if you have any safety concerns over the task or job which may put you or your co-worker(s) at risk, and contact your supervisor immediately and explain the concerns.
Follow all customer safety policies when on their location.
QUALIFICATIONS
• At least High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least (5) years of overall QC experience with 3 years direct experience in machine shop inspection roles.
• At least 3-5 years verifiable work experience understanding dimensional testing, manufacturing practices, interpret engineering drawings (blueprints), work instructions, and bill of materials.
• Possess computer skills.
• At least 3-5 years of experience using hand held inspection tools, such as: micrometer, caliper, height gages, thread gages, plug gages, pin gages, and functional gages.
• Possess a high level of focus and attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated self-starter with high initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency at performing NDT is preferred, but not required
• Ability to work overtime, periodic weekends. Night shift if needed.
