Role Purpose:


Responsible to maximize the organization’s growth and profitability while leading and managing all company operations functions. This includes implementing potentially profitable short- and long-term programs and processes to optimize work flow. Review performance against operating plans, analyse market conditions and approve changes in plan directions.


Operational


Retail
 Responsible for ensuring that all showrooms are operating fully in compliance with the Group’s policies and procedures.
 Responsible for all day to day operations of retail and warehouse locations under his coverage.
 Responsible for the P&L of the operations.
 Responsible for setting, monitoring, and achieving sales targets.
 Responsible for creating an exception customer experience and journey
 Ensure that all showrooms are in compliance with SARA’s consistent look and feel striving to a unified corporate identity
 Responsible for Showrooms to be at top conditions and standards.
 Responsible for all operational expense management
 Responsible for setting, monitoring, achieving showroom contribution targets.
 Responsible for ensuring that all pricing and discounting are per the policies of the Group.
 Responsible for showroom landlord management and communication including negotiating and implementing leasing contracts.
 Responsible for communication with authorities – to a relevant level – and ensuring operations are always legally compliant.
 Responsible for warehouse operations to maximize return on space, logistics, and time management.
 Responsible for showroom upkeep and ensuring standardization and compliance with Group and franchisor policy.
 Responsible for finding potential new showroom locations and developing financial proposals.
 Responsible for execution of new showroom fit-out and opening events.
 Co-responsible for identifying clearance products, creating and implementing clearance strategies.



Projects



 Responsible for developing tools and systems to monitor metrics and brand consistency.
 Develop cutting edge strategies to ensure a best-in-class customer experience across all areas.
 Develop the sales budget in conjunction with the sales team in each territory and agree this with the Senior Vice President to ensure this is aligned with the overall corporate budget.
 Monitors the market, makes sure that all the sales team are following the optimal load of projects, building the pipeline
 Organize the projects lists and plans the optimal utilization of the team
 Communicates with all their team regularly to make sure that all the team are aware of what is being followed and not followed across the division
 Assure that all leads, opportunities and inquiries are being properly followed and looked after
 Assures continuous and sustainable growth of SARA’s market share
 Assure exemplary customer service
 Conduct monthly meetings with the Senior Vice President to;
o Exchange and share market information across all regions
o Discuss market developments and potential
o Assess and review sales strategy and policies and convey these to the sales team.
o In conjunction with the SVP make strategic decisions such as number of distributors, and dealers in each region, the selection, performance, terms and conditions of business with each of these
o Check consistency of principle pricing and discount allocations for all markets
o Ensure the sales team have penetrated assigned markets, developed effective sales networks and achieved optimum results.
o Assess competitor activity
o Review new products penetration by both suppliers and customers
 Communicate regularly with the suppliers to optimize sales performance, sales prices, and communicate market activity.
 Provide feedback on customer performance, demands and complaints. Discuss new product potential, competitor activities and performance; follow up on leads and action plans.
 Work in close coordination with the SVP & President to convey market conditions, opportunities, challenges, customer requirements and demands. Discuss new products, customer feedback and marketing requirements of the supplier/principle.
 Visit major customers in each market with the salesperson/ Officer to consolidate relationships and keep abreast of customer performance, requirements, complaints and demands.
 Ensure the sales team maintain and adhere to a sales schedule that ensures effectiveness of market, product and supplier efficiency with justification such that no product or market is ignored / avoided.
 Agree with the Sales Team principles visits to the markets and set up in advance a clear itinerary to include both established and potential customers.
 Create, maintain and monitor reporting systems and structures.
 Assist with the sales team on sales pitches to major prospective customers
 Responsible for ensuring that the division is operating fully in compliance with the Group’s policies and procedures.
 Responsible for setting, monitoring, and achieving sales targets.
 Responsible for all operational expense management
 Responsible for setting, monitoring, achieving Projects Division contribution targets.
 Responsible for ensuring that all pricing and discounting are per the policies of the Group.
 Responsible for communication with authorities – to a relevant level – and ensuring operations are always legally compliant.


Management



 Responsible for the performance, training, assessment and review of all team and staff under his purview.
 Responsible to approve all hiring, re-location and firing within operations in conjunction with the SVP and HR
