My client one of the leading banks in Riyadh is looking for a COO Risk
Title: COO Risk
Reporting to: Chief risk Officer
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Responsibilities:
Undertakes the responsibility of providing operational support to trans-formative/technological initiatives with respect to the unit and ensures minimal operational risks are attached to any such activities.
Oversees implementation of infrastructural/operational changes and technological advancements within Risk Management to ensure they are in line with the bank's strategy.
Design and implement best operational efficiency and control practice within operations for own department to a high degree of accuracy and timeliness consistently.
Ensures adherence to all relevant compliance requirements, policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions in the entire chain of operations so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner while meeting the Service Level Agreement (SLAs).
Leads systemic reviews of the functional operating procedures and policies and updates them as and when required.
Liaises with key stakeholders in internal functions (eg Business Functions, Information Technology, Compliance, Audit, , Legal etc) as well as external stakeholders (eg external auditors, regulators and external vendors etc) to ensure that best practice and requirements are built in when developing operations in Risk Management department.
Represents the function on the Operational Risk committee to provide insight and guidance on risks associated with the bank's financial operations, and provides solutions to mitigate. Recommends business measures and suggests changes to processes/procedures for enabling system reliability and data integrity with an aim to ensure seamless controls are enabled in all operational processes.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management or equivalent.
Master's degree in Business Management is preferred.
A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with at least 6 years in a similar role.
