1. Purpose of role:
The key purpose of this position is to co-ordinate with Blending Supervisor for daily Blending plan, organize and control blending related activities in the shift to meet targets of production/service/quality at cost effective rates, while at the same time meeting the HSSE & QA expectations maintaining harmonious working relations in the plant. The position holder is expected to work closely with other team members reporting to the Blending Supervisor.
This is an important position within Blending section for correct manufacturing of all products and accurate transfer of products to designated tanks.
2. Key Results/ Accountabilities expected from role
• Receive the daily blending plan from the supervisor and align the daily blending in view of priority and availability of tanks
• Collaborate with filling and blending operators to fulfil daily filling plan
• Manage the proper flushing procedure of tanks in view of product metrics and recommendation from the Lab.
• Own the process of Blending ensuring compliance to all systems and HSSE requirement
• As a blending team member continuously improve upon its HSSE performance and achieve high standards expected from shop floor. Facilitate embedding the HSSE culture in the plant
• Drive cost reduction through efficiency and productivity improvement in to deliver better conversion costs year on year
• Support the Quality initiatives, including sustaining ISO/ OHSAS certification and TQM, to deliver best in class performance from the shift team
• Act as response team member for crisis / continuity management, with accountabilities consistent with relevant response plans and as assigned by the response team leader
