• Inspect/audit all the line control points as per the Inspection & Test plan.
a. Check and initial all quality data sheets a minimum of every two hours.
b. Gather random can samples for visual inspection and if necessary, do a random dimensional check to verify production results. To alert and inform the shift supervisor and the line personnel for any suspected defective products for corrective measures.
c. Work closely with line end Quality Inspector (Finished Pallets) and production supervisor on your shift.
d. Follow up on all out of specification readings.
1. Ensure that the necessary corrective action has been taken.
2. Ensure the re-check has been done and documented.
3. Ensure that the out of specification reading have been circled or highlighted and notified to you by production.
4. Do confirmation that the defective products have been HFI'd or isolated and communicate with the production supervisor.
e. Check deco can samples at pegboard by each printer at least every on hour. Monitor the frequency of the cans being put.
f. Check the cans at IBO exit for any defect like inside deco. Visual defect, etc.
g. Ensure on-line gauges are working properly and are in calibration condition.
• Make up copper sulfate solution and Enamel Rater solutions as needed. Ensure that the quantities of these solutions are adequate at each inspection area.
• Relieve the Line end quality inspector for breaks and lunches.
• Ensure that appropriate color standards are at printer, IBO, palletizer and end of line. Ensure that the on-line standards match with the master signed can.
• Fill out Process Quality Audit sheets in complete manner, at the end of each shift.
• Crossover with previous shift Quality Auditors to get required information and communicate all shift issues through log book.
