MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Main duties include identifying suppliers, country of origin, comparing prices, sourcing strategy, and terms of payment and delivery dates to determine the optimum one to be utilized. Reviewing purchase orders and subcontracts.
Review purchasing records, produce management reports, track the status of requisitions, and orders, approve bills for payment, monitor contractor performance, check the cost of orders, leading the negotiation, and improve the relation with suppliers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Direct procurement plan for receiving and tracking of project materials with project management, project controls and engineering that optimize quality, cost, and timely delivery criteria.
• Work collaboratively with project management, finance and cost control to ensure the efficient of procurement process.
• Direct & monitoring the procurement team and their tasks ensure complying with procurement department process.
• Review vendors’ evaluation according to their pre-qualifications material quality, payment terms, delivery time, negotiation's flexibility & their commitment to our contract terms.
• Interview high level prospective suppliers either face-to-face or over the phone to determine prices, discounts, terms, etc.
• Review procurement execution plans and oversee the full array of materials management and procurement functions of purchasing, expediting, shipping, receipt and inspections.
• Review and monitoring P.Rs, offers status and P.Os approved cycle for assigned projects.
• Approve/check the purchase orders to ensure complying with received PRs.
• Optimize the material and supplier portfolio – that is what materials should be bought in bulk and consumed as needed from inventory by projects, and which materials are best to acquire as needed for specific projects.
• Prepare and communicate to the Project Management, Engineering and Construction teams’ product directions, availability, lead times, model transitions, and cost roadmaps for key materials.
• Support, and in some cases lead, cost reduction efforts.
• Monitor and support returns, damage replacements, and warranty claims.
• Collaborate with management in the negotiation of contracts and lines of credit with suppliers and subcontractors.
