FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1Develop and update the maintenance procedures in line with International and local rules and regulations and vendor specifications and requirements.
2Follow-up on the implementation of maintenance procedures across all MED Departments and Sectors.
3Develop the maintenance plan for all SANS systems and facilities, and determine the required manpower, spare parts and effort required for specific maintenance operations in coordination with other Departments, as per instructed commissioned systems and facilities.
4Assist the Maintenance Planning Supervisor in defining maintenance policies, concession management, and coordination of facility interrupts and temporary operating instructions.
5Follow-up on the delivery of the maintenance plan and ensure its effective implementation in order to meet current and future system needs.
6Evaluate and modify the maintenance plan in the relevant discipline area, ensuring completed work is undertaken to the highest standards.
7Monitor, assess and refine the maintenance program based on in-service evidence.
8Support SED in the project execution lifecycle, and particularly in the RFP development stage, including studying and assessing the maintenance support terms provided by SED/systems manufacturers/contractors (maintenance agreements, warranty, maintenance procedures, etc.).
9Receive maintenance documentation from SED/systems manufacturers/contractors and coordinate with sectors concerning maintenance activities.
10Assist the Maintenance planning Supervisor in conducting failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis and support Availability, Reliability and Maintainability assessments.
11Update spare part availability according to current maintenance operations, and plan the requirement for each of the spare parts used in maintenance operations.
12Report to Supervisors for all relevant maintenance information to ensure that they are kept up to date.
13Run reports on the running costs of maintenance operations, including man power requirements, spare parts and other associated costs. A report of the cost of running the systems will be generated.
15Liaise with internal and external colleagues/contractor/suppliers/partners to ensure the execution of the maintenance plan.
16Forecast requirements regarding spare parts usage for each of the air navigation systems and coordinate with logistics on the availability of the requirements as per the developed maintenance schedule.
17Perform studies to decrease costs associated with maintenance, including man power planning and operational cost reduction.
18Develop technical reports related to maintenance activities, including achievements and system failures, and provide recommendations on how to best avoid future failures.
19Comply with all relevant SQE procedures and controls to ensure employee health and safety, regulatory compliance, delivery of high quality service and environmentally friendly behaviors.
