We are working with an expanding construction company based in Jeddah. The management team are seeking an experienced Legal Consultant to provide legal advice to the corporate office on a variety of commercial, corporate and property law related issues.
Key areas of responsibility will include;
• Providing and preparing day to day activities with the team in alignment with the strategic direction of the management.
• Advising the Management to safeguard the interest of the Group and to ensure that the rules and procedures of the company are followed in all aspects of it activities.
• Advising management on legal and compliance issues, transactional matters and agreements, drafting and negotiating commercial documents, addressing all relevant regulatory requirements and managing and supervising external legal consultants.
• Providing legal advice to ensure compliance with legal requirements and reduce exposure to legal risks;
• Representing the group in KSA as legal counsel in judicial and governmental proceedings and advocating and defending its interest in those proceedings (for Saudi National only);
• Providing primary legal support to group seniors and Founders on corporate and commercial matters, contracts with third parties, employment matters, litigation and prepare legal arguments for lawsuits and draft pleadings and motions filed in court, mergers and acquisitions, portfolio investments, joint ventures, strategic alliances, purchase/sale of real property and other assets, leases, and investment structures especially in MENA region.
• Managing external legal counsel and liaise with Government bodies as required.
• Writing legal memos, letters, emails, correspondence and reports.
• Maintaining all physical and virtual legal files.
• Advising on legal and commercial risk related to all company business activities.
• Providing legal framework on policies to various departments, subsidiaries of the group.
• Providing clear, high quality and timely advice and guidance.
• Ensuring that legislative tools are consistently applied, while maintaining a holistic approach.
