Job Objective

The Environment and Safety Manager is responsible for planning, monitoring and supervising all environmental activities and occupational safety and health, as well as applying procedures that provide protection to workers, reduce the risk of equipment and machinery to workers and factories, and try to prevent or reduce accidents. In addition to overseeing the application of environmental and safety policies in the factory according to environmental and safety standards and strategic objectives that set by the company to achieve a healthy and safe environment and free from risks and accidents.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• 
  
• Develop an annaul environmental and safety management action plan.
• 
  
• Prepare the annual budget for environment and safety department and ensure the costs and expenses within the budget.
• 
  
• Develop environmental and safety policies and procedures and provide guidance to its employees.
• 
  
• Direct and plan the environmental safety works in the factory to ensure the safety of workers and environment surrounding the plant (air, land and sea).
• 
  
• Supervision of obtaining ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certifications.
• 
  
• Develop safety and environmental plans.
• 
  
• Manage the incident reporting methods.
• 
  
• Responsibile for environmental and safety reports.
• 
  
• Oversee the process of obtaining chemical and environmental licenses when needed.
• 
  
• Conduct environmental and safety awareness campaigns.
• 
  
• Develop safety identification programs for all visitors and plant employees.
• 
  
• Develop and supervise awareness campaigns regarding personal safety equipment.
• 
  
• Develop and supervise regarding fire fighting operations plans.
• 
  
• Develop an emergency response plan.
• 
  
• Develop and supervise the hazardous waste disposal plan.
• 
  
• Manage the investigation of Safety and Environmental Accident.
• 
  
• Manage of environmental and safety databases.
• 
  
• Conducting awareness campaigns and activating training and awareness initiatives and programs to achieve a safe and secure environment.
• 
  
• Apply environmental and safety policies and procedures and provide guidance to all employees.
• 
  
• Create a healthy and safe work environment by reducing and minimizing the risks that may result from daily work and activities in the plant.
• 
  
• Supervise the security and safety for the plant's equipment, facilities and all employees.
• 
  
• Ensure that all environmental and safety instructions have applied in the factory.
• 
  
• Review all reports that containing factory errors and do not comply with environmental and safety policies and procedures. Additionly, following up corrective actions, establishing mechanisms to prevent accidents and using scientific tools such as root cause analysis, failure model, impact analysis, and preventive inspection tours.

• Work to improve environment and safety policies and procedures by actual assessing the efficiency and effectiveness
• 
  
• Follow up reports and research, whether local, regional or global, regarding the safety of our environment to keep abreast of their development and utilization
• 
  
• Conducting an annual performance evaluation to review the performance of employees, carry out corrective actions when necessary, and propose amendments to salaries, bonuses and promotions based on employee performance results.
• 
  
• Supervising employees' compliance with company policies and procedures.
•
