Purpose of the Position:
Manage the BU Project. Ensure proper Project Management mechanisms are in place - Planning, Execution, Monitoring, Controlling and Reporting. Successfully complete the Project within budget and on-time following all Safety and Quality standards.
Main Responsibilities:
1.Understand the project contract and relevant documents
2.Understand the budget and its various elements
3.Develop a detailed Project Plan - goals and deliverables. Review these with project team and the service support Business Units (Internal project Kick-off meeting)
4.Introduce the PMT to the Client and confirm the project schedule and other requirements such as bonds, site facilities, QC and Safety matters, measurement clauses and reporting (External project Kick-off meeting)
5.Ensure resource availability and allocation
6.Create within the team a shared focus on the importance of achieving results and ensure the PMT is aware of their responsibilities and are fully empowered, including necessary training
7.Manage Project tasks by utilizing project management approaches to ensure Project completion on-time and within budget with zero compromise on Quality and Safety measures
8.Perform risk management to minimize Project risks. Forecast requirements, track Project costs, analyze variances and initiate corrective actions to stay within budget
9.Use established reporting protocols to document and report on project progress, status and claims
10.Maintain requisite documentation and communication for claim submission, safeguarding against counter claims and escalate as required
11.Work with Client to increase the scope of work (additional assignments) and manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs. Get Client approval on new ‘unit rate’ on additional scope quantities
12.Ensure that key score board measures are realized on the Project
13.Cultivate and strengthen Client relationships, including new Clients
14.Manage receivables control
15.Actively interact with the Project Control Division (PCD), empowering them with accurate information and implement corrective measures suggested by the PCD
16.Report and escalate to management as needed
17.Ensure timely completion of Employee Performance Appraisals (EPAs). Closely work with each direct report to help meet individual performance KPIs and personal development plans
18.Interact with the business development team
