1. Understands contractual terms and conditions
2. Review the Client supplied documents, analyze drawings and specifications and generate the BOQ (Bill of Quantity)
3. Obtain clarification from the Sales Team for estimation and preparation of bid
4. Obtain and maintain unit pricing for material and labor costing - current rates from Material and Procurement for actual landed cost of materials and logistics, and labor rates from HR
5. Prepare the Cost Sheet based on the Client specification and schedule with clear detailed quantity takeoffs
6. Prepare the Tender Board meeting document
7. Finalize the Bid and submit to Client. Include a ‘Quality Submission’ with the bid (best price isn’t always the lowest one, and Clients award contracts based on the quality of service offered as well as cost)
8. Maintain the backup documents for all Bids and make them available to the Project Team
9. Maintain cost data base by entering and backing up data
10. Maintain relationships with Contractors and Clients. Meet with potential Clients to discuss options for proposed services
11. Enhance technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications
12. Ensure timely completion of Employee Performance Appraisals (EPAs). Closely work with each direct report to help meet individual performance KPIs and personal development plans
13. Undertake any other responsibility assigned
