The Restaurant Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of our restaurant, including the selection, development and performance management of employees. In addition, oversees the inventory and ordering of food and supplies, increase sales, manage costs to optimize profits, and ensure that operations are run at full efficiency. Restaurant Manager is also responsible for guests’ satisfaction with the dining experience.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
General
Oversees and manages all aspects of restaurant operations including but not limited to procurement, inventory management, maintenance, guest relation, menu development, training and ensure desired service standards are met every day. Recommends development and enhancement ideas to the Head of F&B Operations.
Policies, Processes and Procedures
Assists in developing and implement approved functional policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
Financial & Reporting
Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales, share of wallet, average check, and optimize costs related to food, beverage, cleaning and other expenses without compromising the quality.
Strive to work on achieving agreed upon targets & ensure all paperwork related to invoices, payroll, inventory and other management reports are filled in an accurate and timely manner.
Training and Scheduling
Plan, design and conduct relevant training's for new and existing employees and creating the schedule to ensure adequate manning for the restaurant without compromising standards of service while meeting labor cost targets.
Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews & recommending promotion/training action plan to management.
Day to Day Operations
Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, local laws, and ordinances.
Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food preparation and service. Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
Manage shifts which include: daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness. Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service and be the point of contact for all related guest complaints.
Quality Control
The Restaurant Manager is ultimately responsible for ensuring that food that is served to our guests is of the highest quality and will make diners happy. He will ensure all raw materials meet our standards and food preparation and service standards are met.
Related Assignments
Ensure that proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests and company assets.
Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.
Completes accident reports promptly in the event that a guest or employee is injured.
