Keeps company vehicle clean and ensure it is well-maintained, has fuel, oil and is ready to drive
Assist in loading and unloading vehicle with items to be delivered
Ensure that items are properly stacked and secured inside the delivery vehicle
Ensure that appropriate and complete documentation is available at the time of loading
Ensuring model number matches in invoice and on item.
Take delivery instructions from supervisors
Chart out appropriate route for delivery on the map or GPS
Drive vehicle to the point of delivery by using the best possible route
Drive safely and follow all laws and rules of driving
Ensure the customer is same person by verifying ID or invoice
Ensure the products can be carried to customer required installation place without any obstacles
Assist in unloading items off the vehicle safely and carry to the customer place
Assist in installing the items at customer place
Obtain delivery confirmation (POD’S ) and service evaluation from each customer
Maintains communication with Supervisors to be informed of any change of delivery, route or schedule
Keeps accurate records of deliveries and customer authorization and ensure all documentation is submitted to the Supervisor on time
Communicates with customers by phone to update them of time of deliveries if there have been issues or changes to their estimated time of arrival
Informs Supervisor if any obstructions to making safe, efficient deliveries on time
Fill in pertinent information such as mileage and delivery time in company provided log books
Ensure that both general and preventative maintenance measures are performed on the vehicle
Ensure that the delivery schedule is followed without any fail
