Job Summary:
To provide specialized services for the diagnosis and management of disease under the scope of care of the related specialty.
Principal Duties:
1. Preforming the professional duties of as Specialist in accordance with the delineation of the scope of care and privileges as recommended by the Chief of department and approved by the Credentialing committee.
2. Performing his/her duties in the outpatient clinic according to CPP of KFMC OPD.
3. Providing the needed dental care to his/her patients in the dental clinic.
4. Performing the needed procedures according to the privileging.
5.Providing consultation services to the in and out patient services in his/ her area of expertise.
6. Sharing in the on-call duties as per the duty Schedule according to KFMC CPP.
7. Supervising the work of the assistant and/or associtae consultants, professional development of the junior dentists. and interns, and provides his/her evaluation of their work at the request of the Chief of Service.
8. Assuring performing dental documentation and charting in a legible and professional way and to supervise the documentation of the rest of the team.
9. Working closely with colleagues.
10. Communicating clearly and effectively with colleagues and patients.
Educational Requirements and Experience Required:
Graduate of Bachelor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Dental Surgery recognized by Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and acceptable to KFMC.
- minimum of three (3) years experience in Specialty area
- Independent practice in the Specialty
Trainings:
- one (1) year of internship in a recognized training program
- Completion of two (2) years postgraduate training and certification from accredited program in the country of training as the highest degree.
