JOB PURPOSE:
The role holder is responsible for manage, operate, supervise and ensure the efficient operation of the Organization operational systems, servers, storage systems, backup and Datacenter infrastructure. This includes managing the IT staff responsible for monitoring and diagnosing All Datacenter equipment's and Datacenter problems as well as design and implementation of new Datacenter technologies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work and participate in developing (Business Continuity Plans) and (Disaster Recovery Plans) regarding to Datacenter.
• Coordinate daily tasks for Datacenter to guaranty the continuity of the work 24/7
• Participate on technical evaluation for all components of Datacenter and their functionality.
• Establish the terms and conditions of Datacenter, and Datacenter requirement to be prepared properly.
• Follow-up and supervise Datacenters rooms, Ensure the performance of support systems (Air conditioning system, lighting, backup and main electricity, CCTV System, firefighting, leak detection ... etc.) are according to the specifications and conditions approved.
• Coordination with the relevant authorities regarding the operation, management and maintenance of devices that falls under their responsibility and associated Datacenter.
• Ensuring organization's backup, data recovery and Datacenter security policies/procedures are followed.
• Developing, maintaining and performing annual disaster recovery tests, ensuring datacenter runbooks are maintained and up-to-date.
• Providing technical direction and remote support to L2 technician.
• Supporting datacenter integration and consolidation of new acquisitions.
• Managing projects to upgrade software/hardware or implementing new technologies.
• Managing server capacity and performance issues.
• Perform various administrative duties including documentation, purchasing, budget, vendor contracts etc.
• Participation in the preparation of RFP requirements and specifications
• Perform other related duties as required during working hours.
