Coordinates and resolves all Merchandise billing issues for a group of assigned vendors. Works with company locations, Merchants, and vendors to resolve discrepancies.
Supports inquiries and research from the AP Specialists. Addresses and resolves complex discrepancies.
Resolves merchandise vendor payments inquiries using experience and individual judgment to determine whether payments are due and are compliant to policies/procedures.
Reconciles vendor statements, researches outstanding invoices, receipts and monitors payment history to ensure invoices are paid according to terms.
Reviews and resolves open dropship liabilities, receipts not vouchered, and deduction discrepancies.
Prepares journal entries for non-system-created payments, using sound understanding of accounting transactions.
Monitors invoice processing discrepancies and resolves reoccurring issues.
Reconciles vendor statements at least quarterly and deals with the complexity of multiple accounts under one vendor.
Reviews and responds to vendor inquiries via phone, email, and voicemail.
Develops and maintains effective working relationships with employees in other departments to ensure the proper coordination of invoice processing and vendor payments.
Educates and mentors suppliers on proper invoice routing, data requirements, and automation options. Pursues the collection of any debit balances.
Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.
