Since 2014, Niagara College KSA (NC KSA) has operated technical and vocational training colleges throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in support of the Vision 2030 initiative and in partnership with the Colleges of Excellence (CoE). Headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, NC KSA provides community and customized training based on Niagara College Canada's expertise and international track records as one of Canada’s most innovative and enterprising applied learning post-secondary institutions. With a strong focus on developing ‘world-’ and ‘work-’ ready graduates, NC KSA specializes in delivering a number of quality programs designed to prepare young men and women for successful entry into the workforce in the areas of Business, Event Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Information Technology and Graphic Design. All NC KSA campuses also offer a foundation program for English language development.
Applications are invited for the position of Manager, Campus Facilities and Operations at Niagara College KSA, Makkah male campus. Reporting to the Campus Principal, the Manager, Campus Facilities and Operations is a disciplined organizer who performs a wide variety of administrative tasks, ranging from complex to routine, all of which contribute to the efficient and professional operation of the campus. The Manager, Campus Facilities and Operations takes ownership and accountability for tasks and facilitating shared responsibilities and manages the day-to-day operations on campus, ensuring that the campus condition, interdepartmental communication and support, logistics and health and safety are maintained according to NC KSA standards.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing building maintenance and operational activities, including and not limited to, the coordination of cleaning, cafeteria and logistics services, organising security and general administrative services
- Proactively inspect all facilities of the college to identify maintenance concerns, ensuring that campus facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards
- Supervising multi-disciplinary sections including maintenance, grounds & custodial workers, landscape maintenance, security and logistics
- Supervise and assess the facility supervisor, performance management & staff training and development
- Provide assessment for third-party service providers and assist in the selection process
- Coordinate and monitor activities of third-party providers and ensure compliance with contractual clauses and deliverables
- Assist with the planning, organization and management of on-campus events
- Assist in financial forecasting, manage budget and tracking of the operational expenditures
- Verify payment and invoicing
- Advising and managing energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness; develop and implement cost-reduction initiatives
- Ensure that all rooms have the appropriate furniture; manage the preparations of all classrooms with sufficient furniture, projectors, white board etc.
- Supervise the arrival and distribution of new furniture; track inventory of furniture & other non-consumable items
- Assist in allocating and managing space within the campus
- Manage the accommodation arrangements for staff and faculty
- Lead the Health & Safety program on campus; assess and complete the risk management
- Manage the full operation of the campus canteen including supply, market search, adequate pricing, and hygiene compliance
- Conduct student satisfaction surveys in coordination with student services
- Manage the logistical operations on campus
- Advise the Campus Principal regarding the adequate transportation requirements
- Ensure the interdepartmental coordination is appropriately executed for provision of logistical support
- Consistently update and manage a preventive maintenance schedule
- Liaising with project stakeholders
