To supervise and participate in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, retrieval and where authorized, repair of production control systems together with ancillary equipment according to company and client procedures.
Undertake Formal Assessment Activities of Service Personnel. Ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
• Conduct FIT’s & SIT’s to gain familiarization of project specific electronic/computer based control systems.
• Install, Interface and Commission Controls systems in accordance with approved procedures.
• Investigate and diagnose any deficiency which may impede efficient installation/commissioning and act to correct the situation.
• Organize day to day activities to ensure work is being carried out in accordance with planned procedures and/or client requirements.
• Provide input to the Operations Engineer / Controls Engineer – Interface & Commissioning, regarding operational procedures and any amendments which are required.
• Ensure that the right tools and test equipment are available to complete the assignments as required.
• Review procedures and drawings of equipment, carry out checks on equipment (visual and written) and carry out preparation work prior to equipment being used.
• Assist with training and competence development of Personnel as required both onshore and offshore.
• Identify variations to work scope to maximize additional revenue.
• Cultivate and promote teamwork among site project team members.
• Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with site and company safety standards, regulations and procedures.
• Complete all required field reports and job completion reports.
• Development of effective working relationships with Customer representative(s)
• Document non-conformances on site or with procedures/drawings via the Field Performance Reporting (FPR) system.
• Provide maintenance and spares usage reports when applicable.
• Complete Field Service Orders (FSO) and ensure before demobilization that the customer has reviewed and signed the FSO.
• Ensure Health, Safety, Security & Environmental procedures are adhered to.
