DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preserving material as per client and manufacturer requirements
Ensuring that preservation logs and labels are in place.
Assures material traceability is performed after receiving and inspection, and tagging and labeling is according to: Accepted, Rejected, Quarantine, Damaged - for repair or replacement, Scrap - not for repair and replacement required, Hold - for clarification with procurement department
Simplifies material flow and streamlines suitable solutions to control the Material preservation process.
Implements Inventory Control.
Maintains min-max limits
Leads the all ERP system activities
Manages the issuing of materials using ERP (MMS) Or manual System.
Manage the Reporting of Material Over, Short, and Damages (OS&Ds).
Sets up bin locations and Pick Path.
Updates Material master, description, unit of measure, ROP’s
Planning and controlling material movement and allocation.
Builds and Implements regular follow up procedures with logistics regarding material handling equipment’s
Coordinates with expediters, logistics and construction teams for materials arrival uploading and offloading.
Assures of using the most suitable unit loading.
Maintains warehouse in Safe, Secure and Environmentally sound conditions.
Controls and assures that only employees who trained to proper methods of material handling shall be permitted to actual handling of material.
Assures warehouse activities are in full compliance with project safety and storage processes
Assures received materials are complying to quality requirements
Manages and follows the material inspection process till final acceptance or rejection.
Manages the materials & inventory management process
Manages receiving & issuing processes.
Maintains warehouse process Velocity.
Collaborates material planning with project manager regarding the overall construction plan requirements.
Forecasts consumable materials requirements.
Follows up the projects pending PO’s & MR’s.
Personnel planning to ensure all Site Material positions are filled and operating about the project schedule.
Ensuring that the site is properly staffed to perform all Materials Management duties per Corporate policy.
Manages performance evaluation of direct and indirect subordinates.
Assures warehouse maneuvering process is efficient.
Ensures maximum utilization of manpower & space.
Minimizes transportation time while maintaining a balance between Service and Operating Cost.
Organization and Maintenance of Warehouse, Stores & Laydown Yard for storage of materials.
Organizes warehouse and draws up a big amount of space for the receiving function.
Assures shipping and receiving at separate end of the facility.
Designates an area where entire dead inventory resides.
Assures full utilization of laydown resources as to share receiving and shipping processes the laydown door.
Facilitates cross-docking of the receiving and shipping docks.
Assures excellent warehouse security for entry and exit.
Reports on weekly and monthly basis the warehouse activities and status of material preservation.
Ownership of all field generated Materials Management reports.
